Almost certainly my most successful poll, having listened to something by at least 6 of these composers, and having heard of 8 of the composers. But I still need to explore them more than I have!

Lopez, both John Admases and Reich, urging everyone to remember the poll is about which composers we have heard, not necessarily those we appreciate.

And darn it -- I forgot to select Birtwistle whose music I *do* appreciate. I suspect he'll get by without me though.

Obviously I like all of these guys. If I had to rank my favorites, I would say Lopez, Sciarrino, Lucier, Dillon, Avram, Birtwistle, Holszky would be my top half, in that order.

Denis Schuler is the only one on the list for whom I feel I have only superficial knowledge.

At a first sight I thought they were all namesakes...

Anyway, eight for me: Clyne, López, Birtwistle, Dillon, Adams, Sciarrino, Reich, Silvestrov. Not sure about Takahashi.

A couple of them thanks to the TC post-1950 project.

    From The Living Composers Project:

    López, Francisco (b. 1964) (Spain)
    López, Jorge E. (b. 1955) (USA–Austria)
    López, Jimmy (b. 1978) (Peru)
    Lopez, Tom (b. 1965) (USA)
    López Figueroa, Sergio (b. 1966) (Spain–UK)
López López, José Manuel (b. 1956) (Spain)

The fourth and fifth composers are not known to me [yet], so they will not be scheduled in a poll [yet]. As of now, the rest have all been polled, so you can rest easy

Eight! My familiarity generally matches the crowd.
