    Umm...yeah...I suspect that some of my upstairs neighbors might dislike the piano. I live in an apartment and the sounds of my practice sessions (and my piano students) carry pretty far!

    As for the topic of this thread, I do love the sound of the harp. Very quiet and soothing. My neighbors probably wish that I would teach harp instead of piano!!

    I would rather hear a piano from my neighbors than that terrible bass speaker playing rock etc

    I have a CD "Harp and French Bassoon" which is fantastic I like the combination.

    Have any ensembles tried harp in place of harpsichord for continuo parts in their Baroque and Classical period output? I think the harp is very beautiful, and the harpsichord is generally not.

    I love the sound of the harp, and my grandmother played the instrument quite well (I still keep her last harp at home), but somehow I never get really interested in playing it myself... Of course, my grandmother offered to teach me hundreds of times, but I guess it was just no my thing.
