I have the vinyl versions. If you like vinyl they are great. I’m just too lazy to get up and change sides on 17 discs.

The recent Birgit Nilsson boxset is said to have a completely new remastering of the Böhm Ring:

The last act of Götterdämmerung is not split over two discs for the first time.

Did anybody have a chance to compare the sound quality?

I did a while back and the sound is only slightly better. I have the Decca Eloquence set which is better than the other CD releases if not quite as good as the latest one in the Nilsson set. (I'm not a Nilsson fan and so wouldn't get the complete box set just to have a slightly better version of the Bohm Ring.

Ditto. I have a lot of recordings with Nilsson in the cast, but the only recording I've ever bought specifically for her is this one:

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Hope this remastering will be released separately sooner than later.

I did get the Bohm Ring for her, but it was more because I felt I should have a recording with her in. (A bit like eating your greens!) The one set of hers I wouldn't be without is the Turandot with Corelli. It's the best studio recording of the opera IMO and the one role I totally enjoy her performance.
