Default Polk Monitor 70 tower speakers

These are tall but take little floor space. Black, 42”H, 7 3/4”W, 15 5/8”D, 47 pounds each. Bass-ported 3-way design, rated 20 to 275 watts per channel. Frequency response 40-24,000 Hz (-3dB) per Polk.

    Amazon describes:
    - Single 3-way floorstanding speaker that delivers incredible sound at a reasonable price
    - Equipped with four 6.5-inch bi-laminate composite dynamic-balance drivers
    - Equipped with one 1-inch silk polymer-composite dynamic-balance dome tweeter
    - All MDF construction with 0.75-inch-thick baffles and extensive cabinet bracing ensure resonance-free enclosures
    - Magnetic shielding allows safe placement next to TVs and video monitors

These were the top of the line in Polk’s “Monitor” series. Their sound is quite good with a lot of smoothness and clarity. Good bass extension, though for those really big movies a subwoofer might be handy if the neighbors allow. Two sets of binding posts so they can easily be bi-amped. Lots of reviews online.

Ours have never been abused or overdriven and cosmetically are very good. No boxes, but the original rather skimpy “Owner’s Manual” is included.

Originally listed for $500 each, though usually discounted. Currently available online for $200-$240 each new, or about the same for a used pair.

These speakers are $100 cash for the pair, pick up in South Orange County, CA. Can’t demo them here, but if you don’t like them, just bring them back within the week.

Any questions, please post here. For pickup or related issues, just PM me. Thanks!

No interest yet! Price is cut by half, to $50 for the pair. Still the same, you pick up in South Orange County, California.

Lot of reviews at Amazon. You can see if these interest you:

Don't make me put these out on the sidewalk, where they might be picked up by somebody who wants to play rap! And PM if you have any interest.

Speakers are gone to where words go after you say them.

Awww KenOC, why didn't you give to me? I wouldn't haven given you any money for them, and you would have had to foot the bill for shipping them over the Atlantic, but just think of the joy you would have given me in finally having a really decent set of speakers and the misery you would have inflicted on my wife in having to house them in the living room. I am gutted.
