Hope I have finally found a forum that appears to be welcoming to those with a wide range of classical/opera/vocal interests and is tolerant of views by new members. (I have tried several others).

I live in the highlands of NSW Australia with my lovely long-haired female German Shepherd and an extensive collection of vinyl and CD recordings. Musical interests range from Baroque,Classical, Romantic to mid-20th century and particularly include chamber music, symphonic, vocal and opera.

Listing favorite composers would be difficult due to the wide range, but I guess Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Elgar, Bruckner, Wagner, Richard Strauss, Janacek, early Schoenberg are those that first come to mind.

Singers of the "golden age" feature strongly in my recording collection and again there are too many exceptional artists to list them all

Woops! How could I have forgotten to include Mahler in my list of favorite composers?

Look no further, you are in the right place, it can be a bit heated but it's only barking not biting.
