The user name of the person who put up all those threads in one hit was of the canine kind, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was an intentional pop at Bulldog. And, a couple of years or so ago, there was short-lived poster who tried to disrupt the site who also used the name of a dog - coincidence?
'...a violator of his word, a libertine over head and ears in debt and disgrace, a despiser of domestic ties, the companion of gamblers and demireps, a man who has just closed half a century without a single claim on the gratitude of his country or the respect of posterity...' - Leigh Hunt on the Prince Regent (later George IV).

I wouldn't be surprised either. People of dubious character are everywhere.

Simply eliminate ALL the polls/games and get back to exclusively classical music debate/interesting topics.

Spoken by someone who never won any of the games and I really tried hard!

As long as a thread topic is not nonsensical/obscene/baitable, I don't see why any poster should be limited as to how many new threads he/she can start per day.

Posting new thoughtful threads is a virtue.

Coincidence? Perhaps we should evaluate all TC members with canine names who flood the forum with posts while we're at it.

Are Mozart and Bach geniuses? It's hard to say. Is hpowders a genius? Well, for this one post at least, the answer is yes.

I agree about Mozart and Bach. As for myself, I attempt to provide thinking outside the Bach’s.

    Eliminate the game, Mattis.

    Increase TC’s fame, status.

I mean, most of these polls consist of only popular names and none that are dissonant practitioners. sigh... then when we are dissonance composers... we get shot down, just because of the major influence consonance composers have, thanks to the games and those with dog breeds as names...

Dogs are not to use the computer... Cats are the only ones who get to. :3 O an humans can use them too... i have no problem with humans using them... just dogs are kinda sending us on interactive quests to blindly post millions of posts on things that don't really matter.

Now to dumb down this with the popular culture of folk who only see in black and white.

    Ban all the Dogs.
    Stop all the games.
I came here to learn hands on what each instrument is capable of. I can easily search for composers with a search engine, even wikipedia has a lot of info. But i would rather talk with folk who have experience in their instruments, because it is better to learn from an experienced flutist than some article on who did the greatest flute concerto...

I spend most of my time in the community section, with a few posts to let folk know i finished a work if they want to listen... (i don't care for critisism... i have enough experience to know what folk who listen to it think...)

I even minimalize the top three things and keep the Community unminimized. but i still find my self hoping there is something amazing going on in the others... nope... games, current listening, more games, o whats this... Strange Magic of some band... (well played posting your name on them all... but right now, i am going to go with the flow and break one of the ToS rules.)

    Ready for this?
I HEREBY DECLARE THAT I CAPEDITIEA AM NOT ALLOWED TO POST THIS ALBUM ARTWORK! THAT CAPEDITIEA HAS DONE! THAT IS THE ALBUM ART OF ENANTIODROMIA ANALOGY! THAT IS ALL!

    Enantiodromia Analogy.jpg

So will that ban me for revoking my own right of posting this work? (even though it is my own?)

You don't have to bother with the games; just keep your distance and stop being insulting.

Mr. Magle could quickly defray his costs for this site if he levied a small charge for each post. And maybe more importantly, a somewhat larger charge for starting a new thread. Fight junk threads!

    I've put 4-th 5-7 threads in 4 years +.

After that, I determined that driving fast cars was more my life's calling.

Some folks are very good at posting interesting thread topics. They should be allowed to continue posting them, completely unencumbered.

The games are taking up too much TC "hard drive" space. Something should be Dunne, Irene.
