    Default The 3-second rule

When we like a post, we have to wait a minimum of 3 seconds before we like another post. Why? Is it to make sure we took an appropriate amount of time to read the second post carefully?

I find that I like posts better when I don't read them.

The 3-second rule is a mild annoyance, but I find the five emoji limit (or five image limit) to be even more annoying. Oddly enough, PMs are not limited to five emojis.

if you have a twitch after liking a post you could inadvertently unlike it. The 3 second rule prevents this.

Bloody hell, it does, too! Thanks for that, I wonder if that's the reason. I often click a like with too much enthusiasm that I find myself trying to get out of it, without wanting to!

I think it's for fighting the bots out there.

^ Not about the 3-second rule but related. I just found a way around the 15 character rule. I posted above an image of whiteness. So now if I want to post a message shorter than 15 spaces, I can just include a pure white image. If you quote my post above you will find the image link I used.

Serves no purpose ... and wastes resources that could be put to better use ... and will be possibly be deleted anyhow.

As to the 3 second rule:

It was put in place to prevent bots from flooding this site with spam and other nonsense.

    Question answered ... :-)
