In the TC server room earlier today...

'...a violator of his word, a libertine over head and ears in debt and disgrace, a despiser of domestic ties, the companion of gamblers and demireps, a man who has just closed half a century without a single claim on the gratitude of his country or the respect of posterity...' - Leigh Hunt on the Prince Regent (later George IV).

And when they were up, they were up,
And when they were down, they were down,
And when they were only half-way up,
They were neither up nor down.

Tell you what ... if it's "UP" then post and enjoy the site ... if it's "DOWN" come back later.

If you are posting here that it is "DOWN" then it must not be down at that moment.

Frederik knows ... he is just as perplexed as everyone else. We simply do not know what is causing the interruptions ... but ... please remember that there are more than likely upwards of several hundred, if not over a thousand, different connection points between this server and your keyboard. Any hitch along the way (which is totally our of our control) can cause an issue ... just sayin.

For some reason, I am having a hard time trying to get the theme song from "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" out of my head.

This is originally 'The Grand ol' Duke of York'.

Oh the grand ol' Duke of York,
    He had ten thousand men,
He marched them up to the top of the hill,
And he marched them down again,

    and then the rest....

I'd never thought of the similarity with Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines.

I was mostly thinking of it in the sense of:

They go uppidity, up, up, they go downity, down, down.

(I don't want to quote too much of the lyric)

The versions that I remember were different melodies??

I sometimes go to my favorite breakfast place and have coffee and an omelet. Also have a host of other activities in which to bide time when TC goes down like preparing/practicing music for my weekend church gigs, being the webmaster, spending time with my wife and our two cats, watching old TV shows, getting in the car and taking a nice drive, or taking naps in the afternoon, and my passion for bowling twice a week.

Life for me does not revolve around TC ... TC revolves around my life and other activities.
