    Default Hi everyone

    Hello!

My name is Scott Manson and I am a 14 year old instrumentalist and composer from Aberdeen, Scotland. I receive lessons for piano and flute, and I have started teaching myself violin. I have been playing music for many years, since I started the recorder aged about 4.

I have been composing for about 5 or 6 years. The biggest projects I have completed are a symphony and a piano concerto (I have also written many solo and chamber works.) In the next few years, I plan to write another symphony and a violin concerto, as well as pieces for small ensembles.

I look forward to being able to connect with many musicians on this forum, who share my passion for classical music.

    Scott Manson

Thank you for welcoming me so graciously (and quickly!)

My favourite composers are Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Grieg (in fact almost all Classical/Romantic composers.)
I particularly like Paderewski and Moszkowski as well.

Wow. Welcome to Talk Classical Scott. I would have thanked a lot to have the courage to write stories with your age. I never went beyond studying School and English ang my video-game and design hobbies. How do you play (other's music) Do you have a cd library?

I don't have as many CDs as I would like, however I am slowly building my collection. I listen to most of my music on the radio or YouTube - with a score to follow if possible.
