Ockay oddly has enought , the music the pslams of Claude Goudimel, is a straightfoward messages of love, god own light speak trought this man in a Turbulant era of France.

I know the story he got slaughter at St.Bartelemy, but his music is radiant whit christic overtone, if you will, it give one hope and divine love, in this difficult time we beleiver live in, beleiver ain't all crap pots, there not one way to think, but several and it's call logical factual mindset based on rational in terms.

See trought Goudimel religion music or not i feel better sweet harmony in my soul, whit a bonus sermonieous overflow but who care, a sermon make one think, when empty , lack in moral, is a fiasco a turmoil to others ,a bad seed.

Goudimel is a sweet fontain of faith , from is work flow pure water, honnest devotion. Make one respect prothestantism format of religion even if a different fraction, would i become a protestant, perhaps so perhaps not, but this man was in the light of the holy, trough is composition, he is sadely overlook as drab, sure i would admit willingly he conventional, pastor music, yet so darn glorious flow of positivism and love.

Is song's are wonderfull '' du fond de mes Pensée per. se...
Great beleiver , great pastor great composer , it depended on how you perceived reality, one may like simple harmonic religieious music another the all package, a composer whit a christic message, yet i enjoy the music is songs are well written, keep it simple , keep it real.

Im supposed to received a Claude Goudimel on label Erato 1970 release (if i'm accurated) , it was expensive but heck, Goudimel did not died for anything, he should be a personna of a movie?

He so inspirational, is music appeasing of nature, you will feel gentle numbness of the love of christ, when you listen to Goudimel work there are the: naxos psaumes de la réforme, Mon dieu me payst featuring quality Goudimel preachs & sermonial advices one should follow.

Than there is this wonderfull album called Goudimel and psalms featuring also Sweelinck organ work, Ensemble instrumentale et vocale de Lausanne 2003 download release quit lovely album. Beside there in a BnF of him, i dont know mutch of all Claude Goudimel recording beside fews albums whit several spiritualist works of grandeure and song or hymn to the holy.

Please comment if you like Claude Goudimel, if there something he is not overated but underrated, as silver or bronze medalist at best in classical music spectrum world of renaissance, to me is music is pretty mutch sweet and smart, nice message, nice chanson, i'm a hudge fan of french chanson genra , this you all know by now
So if you mind ,guys that like and listen to Goudimel ,sometime or often, please comment tell us your feellings of is achievement, did it brought you hope or salvation or something something, dose'it make you feel good, what are your favorite records of him.

?

It's very good that you are such an advocate for Goudimel. I just checked Du fond de ma pensée, and fortunately I found the recording on Naxos by the eponymous Ensemble Goudimel, and it is indeed very special.

However the only other performance I could find of it, by Ensemble1450, is much less interesting. It may be that the Naxos disc really is the best way to appreciate this composer.
