Akira Ifukube was indeed one of the greatest composers of orchestral
music in Japanese history. Especially due to his recent passing, I have
established a brand-new website in his memory; this "virtual museum" will honor his
life music by offering the most comprehensive Ifukube info anywhere on
the web. The web address is:

www.akiraifukube.org

Give this site a try; there is a lot of good classical/orchestral music
that comes from Japan and Ifukube was truly one of that country's
greastest musical artists. Just to give an idea of what he sounds like,
some have said he sounds like early Stravinksy, Orff, Khachaturian and
Revueltas.

This site is still young, so please pardon its dust while it's still
under contruction
