Default Does anyone else make their own album art?

Alfonso und Estrella.jpgFalstaff.jpgLa clemenza di Tito (Davis).jpgFierrabras.jpg

Sometimes good album artwork isn't available and sometimes I just don't like the actual artwork. Does anyone else create their own. I know one person does, but I cannot remember whom. Those of you that do, what tools do you use? Where do you get your album art from? What tips can you offer?

I've attached a few I made. They are ok. Well, I think the Alfonso und Estrella one is great, and the best I've ever made.

    Thanks!

I've created or touched up the artwork for some of my operadepot purchases, since I find most of their artwork to be quite poor. I make the most from what I can using a free online photo editor.

Somewhat related, I create covers for imaginary albums, based on my own photographs, just for fun in my art blog (link).

    An example:

Allüberall und ewig blauen licht die Fernen! Ewig ... ewig ...

Does anyone create physical artwork for CDs that includes not only the cover art but also the inserts for the back of the CD case including the spines on the side?
