Default Help! I just bought an MP3/4 player and...

... I don't know what to do!!! Please don't laugh. I have no idea about these things.

It's a small portable (like a cell phone) "Intenso MP3 Video-Player". Please, anyone? I need help.

    Default Software?

Did it come with software? Some how you have to rip (Convert) a CD to MP3 and then load it. There may even be a You Tube video explaining it, I am only familiar with Apple mp3 plays and I use Apple iTunes software.
No, it's a Bb. It looks wrong and it sounds wrong, but it's right - Vaughan Williams.

Ooofff! Thanks for replying kg4fxg! I hope you'll be aroung for an hour... So the problem is this: there is no problem in converting files. I've already connected the MP3 player to the laptom via USB and it didn't even ask to install it or something. The moment I connected it, the laptop recognised it. So I was able to move files into the MP3 player,

BUT... I can't switch it on!!! There are instructions, which specify that there in a POWER ON/OFF button. Well I pressed it (pushed it actually, because it's a button that moves from left to right, left is off, right is on, supposedly...) but nothing happens.

Unfortunately I don't know that model either and am mostly used to iPods/iTunes.

However, I found Intensio's website where there is a support contact form, just in case everything else fails (bar returning it to where you bought it for help): http://www.intenso.de/support.phtml?nav=faq

However, hopefully it will work without the need for that. Did you unplug the USB cable before turning it on? (it may only work if unplugged) Also, did you leave it plugged in long enough for the battery to charge?

Hmmm, just throwing out suggestions ..

Maybe the unit has to "boot" when first powered up ... my mobile phone takes about 25 seconds to fully power up when I turn it on.

Some devices that come with software, require that one installs the application before hooking up the device. My webcam that I installed yesterday was very specific about that instruction ... indeed, during the install, the software prompted for me to plug it into the USB port.

Just ideas, danae ... trying to help from afar as best I can.

    Default Still looking

I can see some pictures on line of it but no manuals to speak of....make sure the batteries are charged and headphones plugged in when you use it.

You might up load some pictures of it as I don't think it sold here in the USA?

Frederik and Krummhorn thanks for the help. I'm gonna try your suggestions now. How long are you gonna be online? I'm just asking because I'm leaving tommorow, I'm going free camping away from civilisation. That's why I bought the damn thing today!

I found some reviews on amazon that also somewhat describes how to use it.

    One quote is
(let it charge for at least 3 hours before using it first)
Hopefully you can find some helpful information there.

I have to go now, but wish you a good camping trip!

    Regards,
    Frederik

OK, this is what I 've done so far.

There was a mini CD in the package so I guessed it would contain the installation guide. So I inserted it and it contains only an "AVI Converter Quick User Guide" and an "AVI Converter ... set up", so I guess this is necessary ONLY if you want to convert files, right? If you just wanna play MP3 files in their MP3 form then you don't need to install this, right?

Furthermore, I saw that the MP3 player didn't require installation because the moment I connected it (whil it was in the position OFF) the laptop immediately recognised the new hardware.
So this is not an installation problem.

And no, I didn't unplug the USB before turning it on (before trying to turn it on). Do you think I may have done something to it?
