    Default Favorite Opera Choruses

Maybe there is an old thread for this already, but what are some of your favorite opera choruses?

It's hard to pick just one or a few. Some that come to my mind first are "Entry of the Guests" from Wagner's Tannhäuser and "Les voici, voici la quadrille" from Bizet's Carmen.

    1. Without a doubt the Prologue from Mefistofele is overwhelming. The chorale is simply spectacular.
    2. The Humming Chorus from Madama Butterfly
    3. The Easter Chorus in Cavalleria Rusticana

I'm not very familiar with Mefistofele, but what I have heard from it is amazing!

Just listen to the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes and you'll be hooked.
(Kind of like just listening to the Poker Scene in La Fanciulla del West.)
