Default What's the purpose of keeping the old Current Listening threads as 'sticky' threads?

What is the reason? I imagine that at some stage in the future the front page would be rather full of those sticky threads that not many people will really be spending much time reading. Would it not be better to let the locked threads remain un-sticky and keep one sticky thread as a kind of 'archive' that links to the first post in each of those locked Current Listening threads?

Seems something that we need to ponder. It makes sense to me and would be easy enough to implement.

It's just fine like it is, the world is on deep recess, much more important.

Excellent idea. A simple way to declutter.

Yes, a good idea. A sticky should have some significance; those earlier listening volumes don't pass the test.

I have never once gone back into the old current listening threads to find out what people were listening to eight or nine years ago. It would be a way to de-clutter.

Just now I had to search for a thread in the Classical Music Discussion forum, and saw the rather useless stickies still there. I thought it was a great idea to just make a link to these five threads in the first post of thread 6.

The latest Current Listening thread now has links to the earlier Current Listening threads in the first post. Those other threads have been unstuck.
