Default greetings from Rio de Janeiro

    Hello Talk Classical members

I am a longtime reader, just recently I finally took the action to join the forum.

My interest in classical music has been growing for a few years, I go to concerts frequently and try to learn from books, websites and short courses/talks on the subject.

So far I have been "stuck" mostly on the baroque/classical/romantic instrumental repertoire. Operas and choral works are a universe that I have yet to investigate. Apart from the Big Three, my favorite composers are Chopin and Sibelius.
The instrument that dominates my listening habits is the piano (solo, chamber, concertos, etc...), but I've been exploring a lot of works for cello lately.

I am a very big fan of the Talk Classical Recommended Works list, during the quarantine that most of us are facing, I've been using the spare time to create playlists of them on Spotify (I am not sure if I am allowed to post them).

    Greetings from Brazil

    Eduardo

I saw that your post was unanswered (so far), so I'll jump in say welcome. I'm a learner myself, no musical background, etc. Since you're familiar with TC, you know that this forum has many very knowledgeable folks who are not bashful about expressing their opinions. I look forward to reading your posts.

Welcome to TalkClassical, Eduardo. I think it's fine to post your Spotify lists as long as they are classical music and do not appear to be advertising Spotify. People link to youtube music all the time here. I hope you enjoy the forum.
