A very good idea. I would like to see a ballet sub-forum as well. I think ballet is some of the best music in classical.

The dancing hasnt caught my interest yet but then I havent really payed attention to it so far.
Interesting, I hadn't really thought of discussing the music only aspect of ballet but the choreography as well. But if the moderator’s don’t grant my wish, the issue will be moot.

The staff has discussed this issue and, for the time being, suggest that Ballet related discussions be posted in the Orchestral Music forum. You may, when creating a new thread, use the word "ballet" in the title so as to differentiate its music from other forms of orchestral music.
If we see enough enthusiasm in the subject matter, the sub forum concept can be re-visited.

Thank you. That sounds like a fair approach. I'm asking for several ballet DVDs for Christmas and plan to post my thoughts on them then.
I'm new here but I'm a choreographer and I support this idea. It's wonderful.
I support it too :3 Since opera gets its own section, why not ballet?
