Default Composer Work Groupings (Selection Thread)

I am hopeful that we will collect many dozens of composer work groupings - some will be in the "cycle" category, but most will not.

    Acceptable Examples:

    Bach Cantatas
    Beethoven symphonies
    Beethoven Lieder
    Chopin Mazurkas
    Chopin Solo Piano Works
    Haydn String Quartets
    Pettersson Symphonies
    Shostakovich Solo Piano Works
    Sibelius Symphonies
    Tchaikovsky Ballets
    Wagner "Ring"
    Wagner Operas

The grouping might be quite small (Shostakovich Cello Concertos) or larger (Shostakovich Concertos).

    Selection Rules:

    1. You may vote once daily.

    2. You may select up to 5 groupings daily.

    3. For each of your voting sessions, you may select only one grouping per composer.

    4. I will decide quickly if a grouping is not acceptable.

    5. Groupings under "orchestral" or "vocal" are not acceptable - way too broad a heading.

Note: A multi-round game will proceed once the selection process has closed.

    My 5 picks for today:

    Bach, J.S. - Cantatas
    Handel - Solo Keyboard Works
Mahler Symphonies (includes Das Lied von der Erde)
    Shostakovich - Symphonies
    Strauss, R. - Tone Poems

Bach, J.S. - Solo Keyboard Works
    Beethoven - Piano Sonatas
    Brahms - Symphonies
    Schumann - Solo Piano Works
    Sibelius - Tone Poems

P.S. Is Chamber Works by Brahms eligible or should it be like String Quartets by Brahms or Piano Chamber Works by Brahms etc.?

You offered 3 Handel - max. is 1 per voting day. I'll go with the Oratorios and Mozart. Feel free to make 3 other picks today.
