I don't think you can delete blog posts, but try this:

select a blog post by clicking in the box next to it,
then try the moderation, delete blog post

if that doesn't work PM a moderator with details.
Hi there
I'm new and haven't figured out how to delete a duplicate post. Is it possible for me to do? If so, how, and if not - how should I handle? I don't want to mess up threads....

Thanks

Users are allowed to edit their posts but not delete. Deletion of a post is a moderator function only.

I have found the post and have deleted it. In the future you can PM the forum staff and we will handle that for you.
Thank you very much. I will do this in the future (and try to be careful about posting... ;) ).

You are given a limited time to edit a post, so if you see it is a duplicate post or otherwise decide you didn't want to make the post, just edit the post, and save it with a line of dots (because I think you need at least 15 characters to save a post or edit to a post. So some do this:

.............................

Others might do this,

Wrong thread. Post deleted.

There are other possibilities.

That works, too ... when the staff sees these on our random checks of threads we will usually delete them.

There is a way around it, of course - hide any unwanted text behind the white option in Text Colour.

I can't figure out your dodge unless you are able to bring your text down to below the threshold when re-editing.

And note that there is a window of opportunity on editing. I think it is 24 hours, or so. (That should be adequate for seeing a duplicate. You will often see that some replaces the second one with "duplicate," or something of that sort, sometimes with a few asterisks to meet the 15 chr requirement)

I am pretty sure that the errors were not present when I typed and submitted the entry, and that they somehow form while it sits there. Fortunately, this nefarious process seems to be less active once I have made a number of corrections. (I am, of course, being intentionally a bit silly in making this absurd defense. My brain and my fingers are apparently not always on a common wavelength.)

The worst is losing a big post you've typed. You try to hit enter and you get the banner Do You Want To Leave This Page? or such. It won't let you press enter.
If you select yes, you'll come back and your post is gone. Pressing "Back" in the browser sometimes brings it back..

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
