I just bought a used but mint condition Martin Logan Motif center channel speaker--wow, the improvement in clarity and transparency are amazing.

Here are the Theos (not my home!):

I have a problem with my center channel. I can't get it loud enough to keep up with my mains. I hate spending a lot of money on a speaker that basically handles dialogue in movies though.

Mine is a multi-channel SACD system, too, so I get use out of it for those discs as well. It also allows me to adjust each channel's volume separately.

I have only ever had two speakers and they do all that I require but my Pre Amp has a Hologram button that gives the illusion of surround sound but it is only any good for one listener (you have to be absolutely central) so I do not use it.

The problem is that my mains are capable of putting out a great deal of sound, but my center channel speaker has small speakers in it and distorts if I try to get it up to the level of my mains.

Do you control the volume via software only?

You definately need the latest "feng shui" cryogenic cable lifters
Make sure you only plug the amp into the left hand socket and wear your tin hat, really improves the clarity

    On a more serious note.
nice kit, I've got the same turntable
