Default The 7 Deaths Of Maria Callas

Here’s a new art piece, which opened the Bavarian State Opera this month.

What do you think? Would you go see this if it were played in your neck of the woods?

Thank you MAS. Fascinating concept and I really enjoyed it. Even better, I continued at the site and also watched 'Elektra' and the Liceu 'Turandot'. The futuristic setting of the latter worked really well even though the projections were overdone a bit at times. The clincher for me was how it avoided what is, for me, the unsatisfactory Calaf wins Turandot happy ending. That is unless I interpreted it incorrectly.
    Thanks again

Ouch! I suppose the reviewer didn’t enjoy is as much as @runumb did. Thanks for posting the review, Tsaraslondon.
Apparently the show was postponed from the scheduled April 11th première, due to the mandated COVID-19 shutdown in Germany. That must’ve been incredibly frustrating, as the show was germinating since Abramović was about 14, when she was first struck by Callas fever.

There was a better review in the Wall Street Journal, but it's behind a paywall. Somebody posted it on another classical music forum, but I'm not sure about copyright implications, so thought I'd better not do the same here.
