    Default Do posts go missing?

    I'm really confused. There is this thread about top five Wagner recordings: Your TOP 5 Wagner recordings?. I thought for sure there were more posts. Twice I mentioned what my recommendations were. Once several months ago and once just recently, probably within the last month. My first post is there, but I don't see my second one. I searched the forum with advanced search and searched through Google, but I can't find a similar thread. None of the many combinations of keywords I tried brought back anything. I looked back through the forum pages and in my subscribed threads and found nothing. Another thing I tried was the WayBack Machine, but they don't have saves from recent enough. Am I totally missing something, or is it possible that some posts are somehow gone?

    Oh my word... Nevermind. I found it. Five Desert-Island Wagner recordings

    I tried how many different combinations of "Wagner recordings" and similar keywords, but this never showed up in the search results. I spent like half an hour looking for it.

    The search function is ... not very good. The best way to find posts is google (or similar) I tried ""wagner recordings" + adriesba site:talkclassical.com" which didn't work, but suggested that there were similar posts omitted. Repeating it with the similar posts included, I got this - Five Desert-Island Wagner recordings on page 2 (of 3).

    The critical thing is to use site:talkclassical.com to get google to search only on TC.
    Music begins where words leave off. Music expresses the inexpressible.

    The vBulletin search feature is pre-historic ... it's from the age of when dinosaurs roamed the earth ... vBulletin seems not at all interested in making it work ... much less making it work a little better.

    The internal search feature is crap ... we know it ... vBulletin knows it ... there is nothing we can do about it ... sorry

    Use Google as Taggart has illustrated in the post above. You will get reliable results and not be frustrated in the process.

    From what I understand, the vblog format itself is prehistoric. Blogging is now considered outdated, obsolete, like cassette tapes and footbutton highbeams and telephone booths and savings account passbooks and mimeograph machines.

    It was pushed off the cliff by Facebook, which itself is considered obsolete, replaced by Twitter, Instagram, TikTok.

    Like 78s being replaced by LPs, replaced by CDs, replaced by ipods, replaced by streaming music like Pandora and Spotify.

    I didnt hav e that...Experience...But I really like the ''old school'' interface of the forum and wouldnt want it any other way...I left couple of forums when they allegedly ''upgraded'' to some twinkling, shining monstrosities...

    When you upgrade something, or add so many features that it no longer works, I call that robusted.
