    Default Just joined-Hello All!

Found this site when searching for a recommendation for Verdi Don Carlo. Like all music really-often confuse my neighbours switching from Led Zeppelin to Miles Davis to Rush to Verdi....current fascination is with the Opera Faust. Love Early Music too. Don't get Mahler at all though.

Welcome!! It took me years to finally appreciate Mahler's music. My gateway was the 4th movement of the 4th symphony.

Welcome. Mahler plays 'hard to get' with me too. Not going to stress about it. It might come, it might not. There'e plenty of stuff I do like, and I would never have imagined six months ago that I'd today be a fan of baroque opera.

Which Don Carlo did you go for?

Hello and welcome - don't concern yourself with not getting certain composers it will either come through time/exposure to different recordings or not. Experiment by all means but don't feel you have to agree with the consensus, trust yours ears and play what gives you pleasure.
