"Wind Music" meets Classic - Hello to all!
Hello,
some days ago I first started in this forum with a question about a special instrument. But I don't want to miss a short introduction to you. My name is Wolfgang Jendsch, living in the southern part of Germany. Since I was 12 years old I play trumpet and "Flügelhorn" (Bohemian trumpet) in several ensembles (i.a. Hunting blowers corps, Marching music band), but especially in an ensemble which played traditional Bohemian folk- and brass music.
Now I am the owner of the "Egerländer Blasmusik- und Informationsarchiv" (https://www.egerländer-blasmusikarchiv.de) with about 6,500 LP, MC and CD (... not only "wind music", but also classical music!), notes, historical informations about Bohemia, Egerland, and others.
Sure - I am also interesting in classical music. So I was happy when I found this forum.

Herzlich willkommen! I had a quick tour of your website/archive, very impressive collection and very informative. I will be spending more time exploring it. I'm fascinated with Bohemia/Egerland, but I haven't had a chance to visit them yet, I hope to!

Hi Zauberfloete, thanks for your nice post. Thanks, too, for your interest in my archive and in Bohemian/Egerland. There are not very much people which are interesting in Bohemian/Egerland music or culture. Now you have the chance to take a short "virtuell tour" through the Egerland - on my website ;-))
If there are questions, contact me again please. Have fun!

That was very interesting, MoJe. I have never played on a rotary-valve flugel. Neat pic
