Post A few things about a recent but not completley new member.

Registered a few months(?) or so ago, can't remember, but only just discovered this part of the website.

A few things you need to know: I am a Nihilist, Anarchist and Misanthrope - hate government, the human race - but love individuals.

Also enjoy a good laugh, the only reason I exist.

    Composers that I value:

The big three (Bach, Beethoven and Mozart)
    Richard Wagner,
Jan Dismas Zelenka and Dietrich Buxtehude.

    The Baroque and the romantics.

Good to know I am among people of my own values.

I plan to mostly share J.D Zelenka's music on this site and get it more well known. There are too many incredible Fugues and daring harmonies that make Bach look "not as great", or at least his equal. A perfect example from his Missa Omnium Sanctorum, the wildest, leaping and chromatic Fugue I have ever heard from that period (at 4:58 in case it does not play at the correct timestamp):

Welcome to Talk Classical, and enjoy the forum. It's mostly harmless.

Fore people who can't remember when they registered, the site's software has a little reminder under your name....

Since you hate my race, I reserve the right to view you with suspicion

I hate all races equally - I am all for equality, especially in this day and age where your entire character and political beliefs are dependant on whether you support it or not...

Welcome! I used to think I was a misanthrope until I discovered social media and realised that, relatively speaking, I'm a ray of f***ing sunshine.

Welcome. I contributed to your thread on Fux yesterday.

Zelenka's music is wonderful. It is enjoying a period of rediscovery in more recent years. You might have already heard this but let's have it to celebrate

"You must have no dependence on your own genius. If you have great talents, industry will improve them; if you have but moderate abilities, industry will supply their deficiency." Sir Joshua Reynolds, PRA, FRS, FRSA (1723 - 1792)

A video that is always worth coming back to, the Trio Sonatas... some of his finest work for sure.
