    I've heard 2 versions this weekend. A piece to which I have paid scant attention.


    Mitropoulos and the VPO in 1958, pretty rich, and then the Tapiola Sinfonietta with Jean-Jacques Kantorow. The latter an obviously more slender rendition.

    I like both but I am no great Schoenberg fan, even in this very conservative music. I will listen more. I'm sure I have more recordings, probably HvK/BPO somewhere and perhaps the Hollywood, almost certainly filed under Schubert

    ^ It is well worth looking out a sextet account. the Hollywood would do nicely!
