    Default Hello from Charlottesville

    Hello -- I'm Jim Asher from Charlottesville, VA. I have vertigo -- hence the user name "Dizzy J." I'm a retired middle school administrator, I play the piano, and I have loved classical music since my days in high school band.

    Re: Classical Music...
    * I'm a season ticket holder to the Charlottesville Symphony concert series
    * I listen daily via WVTF (a local channel) or WQXR (out of NYC)
    * I have a site where I've listed my top 100 favorites.
    * I have a blog I started last November where I listen to a piece each week that I've never heard before, and then I write about it.
    * And now I've joined this forum.

    I have to admit, this forum seems a bit overwhelming. Does anyone have particular strategies they employ to keeping up-to-date with it?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Talk Classical Dizzy! Enjoy the forum - it's mostly harmless.

    Bulldog's advice is excellent - that button will give you a quick overview of what happened since your last visit.
