Default Hello, I'm Leo from Minnesota

I'm Leo from Minnesota. I've made a couple of posts so far, and I didn't realize there was a spot to introduce myself. I'm a high schooler, and I got into classical music a couple of years ago. Recently, my favorite "genre" of classical music has been opera, so I'll probably spend most of my time on that forum. Since I am fairly new to classical music, I don't own that many physical recordings (I just counted them and I have 16 total CDs), but I use Amazon Music where I explore new recordings to see if they are worthwhile to have as an actual CD (even though I am young I prefer to have a physical product. Something about being able to hold a booklet and CDs in your hands makes the experience much more enjoyable than MP3s for me). Even though my knowledge of the repertoire is fairly limited, this Summer I'll have a lot of time to explore new works and recordings. I made my account last October in order to see images that people uploaded, but I decided the other day I might as well join in on this community because you guys all seem very nice. This seems like it will be a very fun experience!

Welcome, Leo! I reside in the same state and am a few years older than you. I also discovered CM in high school, and I can tell you that you have an infinitely rewarding lifetime journey of discovery ahead of you.

Welcome to Talk Classical, Leo, and enjoy the forum - it's mostly harmless.
Always good to see young people enjoying classical music.

Welcome aboard. Opera isn’t my main interest, but I do get interested in discussing composers that succeeded in both Vocal and Non Vocal Music. There aren’t that many

    Hi Leo!

I bought my first complete opera at your age when very little was available and everything was incredibly expensive. What an abundance of riches we have today in comparison. Welcome!

Welcome Leo. Fresh blood is always welcome (we need to feed somehow). Welcome to TC. This place is full of weirdos. You have been warned.
