You know Tapkaara, there's nothing wrong with liking this kind of music...Maybe the person needs the money, who knows why she or he's selling them...

Nothing wrong with a little humor, either. Or so I thought.

I'm not sure if anyone would feel pepped up enough to write music if there wasn't such a thing as humor. That, and women. We probably wouldn't write a single note if it weren't for women.

maxsdad, that's some very nice stuff you have there. i know, i have most of those myself. but most is not the same as all, so i have to ask, why the high prices? your donaueschinger set, for instance, is priced higher than i paid for mine new. these seem all pretty much to be new cd prices here, which makes it ever so slightly less alluring than it would be were the prices more in line with what used cds usually fetch.

of course, some of these things are getting very rare. and those are arguably priced too low!!

    just curious.

also, since i am interested in some of these, which ones are not on discogs? if those are all ones i already have, then i can just go to discogs and work through them, which is obviously preferable.

    thanks,

    some guy

None of these are in the Discogs database. That's why I made the list. There are many more Avant Garde 20th Century CDs and LPs at my Discogs store under the name plikestechno that are in the Discogs database.

I am selling these discs which I have collected and cared for since I started as a teenager because I am a new dad and could use some money and also because I don't really have time to just sit down and listen to them anymore. And when I do have some time I prefer to spend it in my studio.

The prices? Well a lot of it is quite rare and everything is in absolutely perfect condition.

I also bought all of these as imports being in Canada so everything was at least $20-$25 each for CRI, Koch, Bridge going up to $40 for some of the Montaigne and Hat Hut discs. Decided to set $12 for domestics and $20 for imports.

I actually paid over $400 Canadian for the Donaueschingen. Embarassing. I'm not sure what the original US list price was for the set.

I went to PM you Some Guy but I don't have five posts yet. Please contact me through my Discogs account (plikestechno) or maybe you can PM me here. For a decent sized order, a discount could definitely be in order. Just tell me what you'd like and we'll go from there. If there is anything on Discogs that you'd like, please purchase and go through checkout at the Discogs prices and we will work on a total amount after.

Prices aren't firm. Especially if you'd like a bunch. You let me know what you'd like and what you want to pay and we'll go from there.

I've sold a few but would like to move many more. In a bulk deal if I can. All domestics are six dollars now instead of twelve and all twenty dollar imports are now twelve dollars. Make an offer on the sets.

Don't worry. I will have a list of more acceptable classical music up soon. Things for tea parties, British movies and increasing the intelligence of babies in the womb.

Prices back to 12 for domestics and 20 for imports. Don't need the money as urgently as I did a month ago.

Lol ~ what a cheeky sod!

So that's what the non-20th century classical fans say about us behind our backs

I've been wanting to hear the Henze and Harvey string quartets for some time now.

Well there's some very cultured music in that list!
