Default Excellent method for searching for stuff on TC using Google search

The deficiencies of the TC search engine (no offense) are well known and various alternate techniques have been put forward. I found this to be the most effective:

In a Google search window precede your search word(s) with site "talkclassical" and follow the search word(s) with this:

site "talkclassical" your search word(s) here

Like many sites, Talk Classical comes with a search function (top right):

The only problem, in the words of the site administrator: "it is crap ... we know it ... vBulletin knows it ... there is nothing we can do about it ... sorry."

So, if you are looking for something on the site, don't even bother to use it.

The workaround, as first proposed by Taggart, is to use Google (Bing, DuckDuckGo, or whatever other search engine floats your boat) and add "" to the keywords.
