About the build quality: as I mentioned in my Grado GW100 review in the Headphones topic, they don't seem particularly well-built, at least there are some squeaking joints. When I tried for the first time to charge them up, USB connector seemed finicky, as it took me several tries and a sure hand to insert the plug so the charging LED lighted up. It was depressed slightly into the side of the can and I guess not every USB cord would work with it.

Count me as another fan of Grado!

I own a pair of reference GS2000e, and I'd put them against anything else in their price range.

I've heard a couple of other $1300 headphones with a bit more detail (like the Audeze LCD-X), but overall, it's hard to beat the Grado's overall balance and musicality.
And if there were a god, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence - Russell

I figured out this strange aversion of Grado GW100 for any "standard" USB charger. The reason is indeed with the plug itself: compare the "standard" one (left) and the one that came with the headphones (right).
