This is the 36th in a series of games based on a common theme. It could be genre, instrumentation, key signature, time period, style, country, groupings such as Scriabin's Piano Sonatas, etc.

Here's how it works:

1. First voter selects the common theme and a work that fits reasonably into the theme.
2. Second voter also selects a work that fits into the common theme.
3. We keep submitting works until we have collected 20 of them.
4. The game begins.

Selection Rules:

1. You may vote once daily.

2. When you vote, you will have one selection to make.

3. Selections end when we have collected 20 entries.

The next voter will pick the common theme and first selection of the twenty.

Welcome to Game Thirty-Six of A Common Theme Among Twenty Works. The common theme for this game is works of composers born between 1880-1900. There are 20 for our listening and voting enjoyment, and I will announce the top five at the conclusion of voting.

Rules of Engagement:

1. You may vote once daily.

2. When you vote, you will have 10 points to use as you please except that no work may receive more than 6 points.

3. The Half-Time Adjustment is in play. With the first work to garner 50 points, the 8 having the lowest scores will be eliminated from the game; this number could rise if there are ties toward the bottom the board.

4. Game Thirty-Six ends with the first work to reach 100 points.
