So after that, I stayed with Elena in her room while Victor and Nikolai went to look for Sergei's body. Sure enough, they found it right where they saw him fall - for the second time - inside a shaft that was nearly impossible to get to because of the walls and fences that were between the buildings in the alley. So they reported it to the police. Victor came back to me completely

It was nearly pitch black, except for lights in the streets, and the stars. No other souls were around. We could see her white dress glowing softly. But there was another. 4. Disappeared: Chapter 6 Part 1 (Don't read unless you've read the other chapters)

It was about 10 at night. Nikolai, Victor and I walked through the streets to Elena's house, and came a few blocks from it. We went stealthily through the darkness so that we would not be seen from the windows. We got to the building and went up the stairs very quietly, and wondered whether or not to visit her room. We decided that it would get us in too much more trouble.

  5. Musical Analysis: Sergei Prokofiev Part 2

    HARMONY

Impressionist. That's probably the best descriptive term for him. Prokofiev did so many things in his music that simply don't make sense if one were to look at each piece of the puzzle. One has to see the complete picture to try to understand the ideas he's trying to communicate. In this way, harmony often overrides melody because an idea doesn't always need a melody. Yet Prokofiev has a clever way of combining melody with unusual harmony sometimes.
