  1. Happy Valentine's Day

    En français

    Composing plans for summer-heart1-jpg

I don’t think I need to say much as an introduction for this Valentine’s Day playlist – the theme of love is everywhere in Classical Music, in all eras, in all genres… The problem I had wasn’t finding stuff to put here, as much as what I had to keep out!

    En français

  4. The Piano Society, featuring Neal O'Doan

    En français

This week's installment of the January Pianothon will try and do two things: point out a collection of substantial, openly available piano music and highlight one of its many contributors.

The Piano Society (http://pianosociety.com/) “is proud to present its large collection of more than 5,000 high-quality classical keyboard recordings, produced

    Cette réflexion en français

Gustav Mahler, Ferruccio Busoni, Charles Gounod and Jacques Loussier (only to name those) have this in common: they all adapted or transcribed the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. This may irk purists,
