Hi, Science - I'm so pleased you've joined Book Chat & really look forward to reading your posts. Might you post a thread on Shakespeare, if you have time & quite fancy it? I know I loved your discussion of Shakespeare in the Community Forum.
Hope you're having a great week,
    Best wishes,
    Mollie

I hadn't heard of him either! It started off as a jokey comment by Figleaf about "The French rule" and I started wikipedering for stuff about Anglo-French wars for a suitable riposte (pun intended!) and came across him. Unfortunately, he's just one typical example...

I wouldn't necessarily say burnt out but i've had my fill for a bit. Lately, I've really been listening to a lot of Mahler and Bruckner. Especially M3, M4, and M6 plus B3, B7, B8, and B9.

Why does this say "unapproved visitor messages"? My name is Kevin Palumbo, and I approve of this message.

    Hi Science,

I just wanted to apologize if I offended you with that post I made. It was never my intention to single or isorhythm out. I obviously wasn't clear enough in what I was trying to say I have tried to rectify my response. It was not my intent to cause offensive to anyone I am not the time of person who enjoys arguing back and forth online.

So I really do apologize if you still feel I am in the please do let me know and I will edit the post further removing you and isorhythm completely.

    Best Wishes,

    Fox

Before you get overly sensitive like Sid, think of all the great posts you made in the "What that composers SHOULD be known for" Thread. Great Job!!!!

Wow, science, thanks for remedying the glaring omission of the Monteverdi guest book. :tiphat:

hey, we're starting another chat at Septimal's place in an hour if you wanted to join. I know it's pretty early where you are, but you might like the Handel piece I've got picked out ;)

Hey, any of the op.6 would be great; but I like listening to whatever you guys do just because I know so little music outside the late baroque, classical and early romantic eras.

Dear Science, Thanks for posting on my Lully presentation. I am just in from dancing and about to read & consider it, but first have to finish this round robin to tell Baroque Exchange members that schigolch has posted the third presentation, his subject being Luigi Rossi. It would be so nice if people would read it & respond. Gosh, the chats are coming thick and fast! Who will volunteer next, she added, in an ultra-persuasive voice. :) Am enjoying your posts elsewhere too. Best wishes, Mollie

Hi, Science - I've just posted my 'seminar' (huh - it's just personal response) on Lully & I'd be so grateful if you'd have a read of it, and maybe respond? That would be fab. Very best wishes, Mollie

Ah! That's interesting, I haven't read any Orwell, gave 1984 a go sometime ago, but couldn't finish; maybe I will read it some day. :tiphat:
