Yes, a million thanks. Frankly, I was surprised it was as late as 1967, but I shouldn't have been.
And already with Marilyn Horne, in a truly great partnership.
ERRATA: The Immortal Performances ad made an error by printing the year of Sutherland's debut as Norma as 1965 and I ended up following the ad's error earlier. The correct year should be 1963, as indicated on the cover of the box set. Should have double-checked the year. Apologies for the error.
The thread title has now been changed to reflect this.
IM hasn't listed the CD set in the order list yet since it will only be released in December or January (depending on how fast the disc manufacturer produces the stocks), but you can try contacting IM via the "Contact Us" link at: http://immortalperformances.org/contact.php
and let them know that you would like to make a pre-order.
Alternatively, you can wait for Norbeck, Peters & Ford to bring in stocks, normally a few weeks after IM releases the CD set: http://www.norpete.com/
We hope to have this album available in a couple of weeks time at the most.
We will put your name and order on our pre-order list and notify you when we’re ready to mail it out, if you wish.
Immortal Performances has probably been encountering delays at the CD pressing plant. They will email all parties in their mailing list when the CD set is released.
