As such, I am tempted - esp as I hear good things, and have his #7 which seems very good to me.
Any opinions on Chailly's Bruckner cycle?
There can only be one!
Well, I suppose they could work out an arrangement to have both, or I suppose ditch em both and get Chailly or someone like that....but who does TC want to be the next face of the BPO?
I have 2 cycles, Abbado/BPO and Haitink/RCO, and I'm trying to buy another one because I love the pieces so much. I have come down to Chailly and Dohnanyi/Cleveland. I've heard the former and I know I love it; the later has terrific reviews but I can't find sample so I don't know if I will like...
On television, I stumbled into the last 4 minutes of "Conducting Mahler", an Allegri films production from 2004, with Chailly conducting the final notes of 'a' Mahler piece.
Would anyone know what piece that was?
