    Saw that there wasn't a thread for Luciano Cilio (1950-1983), an Italian minimalist composer. He only really composed one piece of any note, Dialoghi del presente but it's a really beautiful, strange and haunting piece that deserves to be heard. He unfortunately comitted suicide at the age of 33.

    Fairly popular symphonic, concerto, and chamber music composer. Deserves to be recognized here at least.

    I am sure that we can all think of some composers whose popularity is not based on their best works. As an example, Respighi - Metamorphoseon deserves to be as well known as the Roman Trilogy Any other suggestions?
