Ok, this has bugging me. I've been trying to wrap my head around where the line is drawn between Modern and Postmodern classical music. Most of my search online has lead to distinctions between ideologies, which isn't quite what I'm looking for. I'm more interested in the musical styles...
do you like falsetto? why/why not?
personally, I find it repulsive (with one or two exceptions). it's thin, unsupported, generally lacks control (especially on high notes) and generally comes across as supplicating and lacking conviction or solidarity.
In this video there is an orchestral song which i love it but i don't know the title of it :(.
The track starts from 5:05 until 6:14, i think generally it's pretty known but i just cant find the name of it. Please help me thanks :D
Coursera is offering Yale's "Introduction to Classical Music" beginning Jan. 12. This as a free course lastng eight weeks. I have audited three or four of these and have found them generally meatier than they sound.
