Edition United States is my second country in this series. First, we will select and vote on composers. Second, we will select and vote on compositions. For each of the two categories, the top ten will then be available for additional national/regional games.

Composer Selection Rules:

1. You may vote once daily.

2. When you vote, you will have up to 5 composers to select.

3. Composers known primarily as jazz musicians or film composers are not allowed. However, concert works by these artists will be allowed when we select compositions.

3. Voting will end when participation significantly recedes.

My 5 selections for today:

Copland
Creston
Diamond
Piston
Schuman, W.

Bright Sheng was born in China and graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. At age 27 he moved to the USA, and later became an American citizen. All of his works are from after his move.

I assume Chilham's Adams is John Luther.
