Like all late Beethoven it is beyond excellent.
It's not my favorite of the quartets, overall an almost paradoxical piece, with some of the strangest or most difficult movements (1st, Grand Fugue) but also some of the most immediately appealing ones (2nd, Cavatina, Danza tedesca).
