Like all late Beethoven it is beyond excellent.
It's not my favorite of the quartets, overall an almost paradoxical piece, with some of the strangest or most difficult movements (1st, Grand Fugue) but also some of the most immediately appealing ones (2nd, Cavatina, Danza tedesca).

I think that the Finale is also immediately appealing and more than "Danza Tedesca".

Maybe, but here is some "irritation" because of the replacement and many (therefore?) finding the new finale too light. Similarly, the ambiguous 3rd movement seems not as appealing as e.g. the Cavatina.
