Nobody can delete their posts. You can only edit within 12 hours of writing a post.

Not even mods ?
Look at the post above yours :tiphat:
What is above mine post? A spider?
Sorry, but I don't get it. I can't edit posts even I write right now. Where is the edit button?
^^ To the left of the "reply" buttons!

I have Edited this post just to show that I can!

He's a senior moderator.
Look at his avatar ;)
I think there should be edit button. If I'm blind, I apologize then.
This is how I see my post:

As far as I know in this this thread it's like most post 12 hours edit
See the post from Taggart

I don't understand. I think he says that I can edit post within 12 hours and not after 12 hours.
I don't understand why do you point to Taggart's post all the time. I have seen his post, understood it and replied to it. I can't edit my posts at all anymore.
1. I am posting this now.

2. As soon as I have, I look at the bar below my post and see a line of titles:

On the right hand side - Edit Post...... Reply...... "Reply with Quote.

I have activated 'Edit post' and a box comes up in which I have typed the new added text.

I then click on Save Changes.

3. On this first Edit, no 'edited' sign appears because I've done it so quickly. I am now editing again. I will have the facility to do this for several hours. Once those hours are passed, no edit is possible.

4. I cannot delete my posts. I can replace the message with a line saying 'post deleted' if I want, but it is an edit, not a deletion.

5. My husband is a moderator. He can delete posts as part of his moderator facilities. Ordinary members cannot.

6. Members edit their posts all the time, and usually it shows up as 'edited' and a certain time - on this final re-edit, it reads Last edited by Ingelou; Today at 15:36.

If you cannot because there's a technical glitch, or you still can't understand how it works, why not pm a moderator, as Pugg suggests below?

Do send him a P.M then, they are always very helpful.

Second edit: I am trying to help you. :tiphat:

Thanks. I sent him pm.
Let me try for a sec because I had the same problem yesterday.

I do see the Edit button now, maybe it's just a glitch and it'll disappear soon.

Staff members are able to edit/delete/move/merge posts at any time.

When something is deleted, it is soft deleted, meaning it remains intact on the server(s) but removed from view of the regular membership. The staff can still see any deleted posts.
