Welcome to the "Concertante 1972-2021" game. We nominated 176 works, which were first voted on in eleven preliminary rounds, reducing the field to 48. There will now be three semi-finals, and one final. Selections and line-ups can be found here.
The rules:
1) you may vote once during your calendar day.
2) you have 10 points to distribute, but no composition may receive more than 4 points (deviating from the Bulldog games). Just copy/paste the latest board and add your votes.
3) there is no halfway elimination of compositions with low scores.
4) the round ends with the first composition to reach 80 points.
5) at the end of the round, the top five compositions will qualify for the final (in case of a tie, I'll use a tiebreaker: the last time there was a difference). In addition, the best #6 of the three semi-final rounds will qualify.
6) do not post negative remarks on any of these compositions, feel free to discuss them positively, and at any time you may post YouTube links to their works.
If there is anything unclear, just ask.
Qualified for the final:
Birtwistle - The Cry of Anubis (1994)
Clyne - DANCE (2019)
Davies, PM - Strathclyde Concerto 6 for Flute (1991)
Dutilleux - L'Arbre des Songes (1985)
Messiaen - Des Canyons aux étoiles (1974)

Sallinen - Cello Concerto (1977)
Saygun - Piano Concerto no. 2 (1985)
Schnittke - Cello Concerto no. 1 (1986)
