Moderator Note:
I moved these posts from the current What's another year game because although they are extremely helpful, they do make monitoring the progress of the game difficult for me. We can use this thread from now on for the next scheduled games.

The first year of focus is 1919.

Will do from now on. If I forget, give me a nudge.
I edited Wikipedia 1919 page. There were some serious omissions, like Sibelius' 5th symphony or Elgar's Cello concerto. Maybe we can use this as an opportunity to improve Wikipedia. I don't know about other important works from 1919, but there are definitely more.

Such lofty sentiments are appreciated - but our work is far from complete.

What shall we do with "The Miraculous Mandarin" by Béla Bartók, for example? Composed during 1918 & 1919, this BB opus wasn't orchestrated until 1924/1925 - and purportedly first published officially in 1927 (but in suite form & not complete). Which year shall we agree upon for game purposes?

Since this item is a stage work, perhaps we can lump it together with Prokofiev's 1919 opera and re-christen it as "The Love for 3 Miraculous Mandarin Oranges" ...
