I enjoyed Milanov for a lot of stuff! Such a gorgeous smooth tone and floated pianissimi! Blanche Thebom was gorgeous and had hair like a medieval princess. This is really her hair, not a wig.

 

She was gorgeous in general, had a stunning voice too.. She should be mentioned more on the threads. She was a fantastic interpreter and a truly great dramatic talent. She actually has a somewhat similar timbre on her lower/lower-middle as Yma Sumac! they look a tad similar as well!

Thanks for the Facebook tip. I joined. I remember him from ages ago in Opera L when I was a member. Nice to read his recollections. His comments on big voices were interesting.
