Observations:

I'm a little surprised that Silvestrov only gained 7 points.

Given that both Puccini and Verdi are big names in the world of opera, I expected a close contest. Personally, I prefer Puccini; although Verdi's style is more in my comfort zone, it's Puccini's best arias that win the day.

I also prefer the Shostakovich solo piano works. I can't deny that Prokofiev offers a more well-rounded set of piano pieces, but Shosty's Preludes op. 34 and Preludes/Fugues op. 87 are 20th Century favorites of mine.

We are now ready for Game Two and 3 new contests. Don't be shy!
