Composers like Stalling and Scott Bradley were known for their extensive use of quotations of then popular songs and (semi-)classical works, so yes, that's very well possible.

This composition is titled "Gipsy Queen" by Greg Knowles from the album "Central European Collection". It used to be available on the Warner Chappell Production Music website, but not anymore. Maybe you can contact Knowles. He is a traditional instruments player.
