My friends! As I've said every time but the first time, the results of the polls have surprised me, not only because sometimes a recording does better than I'd expect (as Arnold's dances did in the recent one) but because often a recording does much worse than I'd expect.

So here are the lowest scorers from the first ten or so polls. I wonder whether any of them did badly because the competition was too stiff? Feel free to vote for as many or as few as you want!

I might as well again express my very sincere gratitude to all voters. These polls have been greatly educational for me. I appreciate everyone's tolerance as I've essentially spammed the board with my self-centered polls, and everyone's indulgence as they've voted for on one "what the heck is he thinking?" poll after another. Very kind of all of you.

Oops, that Gounod record is really great and would be my primary recommendation for the composer.

Rebel´s trio sonatas have gotten good reviews (I have only read those of another recording), and to hear a few works besides the jawdropping Les Elemens can only be a good thing.

The Allegri piece is famous of course due to the Mozart associations, so I guess one has to hear it. As for the rest, I have not much interest in them.

Yowee! There is almost nothing here I am familiar with except the Beethoven and the Anderson. I just voted for the Telemann because - you know, that authentic painting of a naked guy playing violin with leaves in his hair sets a proper mood.

I would never do that. I have principles! Ordinary shoplifting, in a pinch, maybe; but of classical music, reverse shoplifting is below me.

I should admit something...

I like every single one of the recordings on this poll. If I had to choose a favorite out of the fifteen here, seven of them would be in the running.

Leroy Anderson ~ so you know there is high craft at work on less 'serious' music, not that you don't already, but if you don't find it a turn-off (or like me, intensely not interested, LOL), it is beautifully crafted fun stuff. A break from all the other music you've listed.

The Allegri CD is great I'd vote for that first. Then the Van Nevels. Everything that man had been involved in seems essential
