I'm trying to setting up the rules for a competition about Bach and it's not an easy work.
For the categories I think I came to a conclusion:
However, there is still something that disturbs me: how can you, for example, compare this piece...
... with this other one?
I mean, the first is a simple song of 3-4 minutes, while the second one is a multi-movement work of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Isn't difficult to compare a so long piece with a short piece?
Do you think that splitting multi-movement pieces in their individual parts would be a good solution? A single movement could compete with a simple song. You can give your opinion with the poll, if you want.
