Should we have a "Recommendation Requests" sub-subforum?

Seeing as how there's a subsection solely for identification threads simply because they pop up so often, I wonder if a similar thing might not be wise for the general recommendation requests, often from newcomers. People could still request specific recommendations in composer guestbooks and whatnot, but it might be a nice idea to have a place to funnel the plethora of new threads solely for "I like Beethoven's 5th and Tchaikovsky and stuff like that, what else should I listen to?" and whatnot.

Thoughts?

What better way to welcome a new member than to treat their posts exactly as TC treats those of long-time members? Putting newbie requests in a separate area is implying to the poster that they're not ready to be allowed among the big people.
The great unsaid thing here is that this is a forum as much for absolute beginners which means the same old threads/polls covering introductory things every time a newbie appears. A percentage of these are likely to be immature as well though that's another issue. If that's what you like fine, but it shouldn't be a surprise that others prefer some stuff kept separate so the repeated stuff doesn't clog things up. Polls could have their own separate section for sure.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
